Therapeutic Spinal Release.
Release the spine, liberate the breath, relax the nervous system and find peace.
“One-to-One Spinal Release sessions with Gillian have been truly eye opening. The practice is more than restorative; it is a deep and transformative journey through body and soul - lovingly guided by a gifted teacher whose attunement and care create a space of true safety and belonging. The practice is always a restful, nourishing pause in the busyness of everyday life. No matter how I arrive, I leave the session feeling more grounded, more in tune with my emotions and more deeply connected to my body. Over time, I have felt my mood lift, my breath deepen, and my ability to find peace and calm grow stronger.”
Abianne, psychotherapist.

The Spinal Release practice takes place lying down and involves a careful evaluation and then liberation of the breath. A slow, guided series of spinal rotations follows, with careful observation by Gillian of any restrictions of movement and with gentle client feedback, so that any blocks in the body can be gently released over time. When the spine and back are freed of restriction and tension and the breath is restored to a state of ease, emotions can flow and the nervous system returns to a state of equilibrium.
A regular practice of Spinal Release can have profound consequences for physical and mental health. Over time, a sense of wellbeing begins to arise in body and mind that leads to a growing sense of peace and calm, restored sleep and the possibility of a return to flourishing.
The session takes two hours and includes an initial consultation over tea to discern the current challenges of body, mind and life. The practice take place in the client’s home, or in Gillian’s private practice space in Honor Oak Park, London.
The cost is £120. For home visits, travel is charged at an hourly rate of £30.
“There is a fair amount going on in my day-to-life. When I first came to see Gillian, the overwhelm in my life had started, emotionally and physically, to take its toll. I would try to make time for ‘wellbeing’ by pounding the streets (badly) or overly bending my body (not very well). I was recommended by my osteopath to Gillian for one-to-one Spinal Release and it was a complete game changer for me. I realised the gains that could come from slowing down and tuning into my body. It was a first for me, to devote time to my body in its purest sense: using the breath to look inwards and think about how I respond to it. It unlocked genuine insight and and significant emotional release which felt incredibly freeing. This is starting to change my perspective and my relationship with my body and ultimately, my life. Gillian held a very safe space for me, guided me through the new experience and gave me a very generous and much needed space to be myself and explore my feelings.”
